About
Repair & Rebuild was established by BACP registered therapist Justine Blakeman following her comprehensive therapeutic experience in both private and public sectors of criminal justice, where she specialised in developing and delivering interventions in domestic abuse and in youth diversion.
Our goal is to deliver person-centred therapy for those dealing with trauma, relationship difficulties after separation, and navigating major life transitions. Additionally, we can provide professional consultancy for organisations looking to incorporate trauma-informed and evidence-based practices into their interventions.
At Repair & Rebuild, we are dedicated to promoting healing and resilience within individuals and communities.

Individual Therapy - Justine Blakeman
There are moments in life when things can feel uncertain, painful, or difficult to make sense of. Therapy offers a calm, supportive space where you can talk freely and feel truly heard, without judgment or expectation.

You might be struggling with anxiety, low mood, loss, or change. Perhaps you feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or you simply want to understand yourself better. Whatever brings you here, therapy can help you explore your experiences and emotions at your own pace.
My approach is rooted in person-centred therapy, which means I believe you hold the answers within yourself. My role is to walk alongside you, offering empathy, understanding, and a genuine human connection as you begin to make sense of what you’re feeling. I also draw on integrative models such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic Theory, which can gently guide our work when it feels helpful, supporting you to recognise unhelpful thought patterns, understand deeper emotional processes, and find new ways of coping and growing.

Therapy can help you reconnect with your inner strengths and discover the clarity and confidence to move forward in a way that feels authentic to you. If you’re ready to take the next step, I invite you to get in touch for an initial 30 minute consultation. Together, we can explore what’s going on for you and how therapy could help you move toward a calmer, more balanced, and fulfilling life.
My background and experience
Following my qualification and initial training in supporting victims of sexual and domestic abuse, I specialised in behavioural change interventions in the Criminal Justice sector specifically in the area of domestic abuse working in the challenging arena with those who cause harm. Whilst embedded in this field I have developed my skills and practise in understanding complex family dynamics, safeguarding, child protection and the emotional ‘fall out’ of separation and divorce. I also have lived experience of rebuilding and restructuring my own family following a difficult and painful divorce.
Therapeutic approach and areas of expertise
Embedded in a person centred trauma informed approach, I am trained in Integrative Counselling Practise which supports me to seek to understand your own lived experience at your pace and use different theory modalities to inform how that may have shaped your relationships and your responses to dealing with difficulties. I have a specific interest and passion in supporting my clients who are navigating separation and divorce including 'Post Separation Abuse' and 'Child Contact' challenges. I have significant professional experience in supporting parents through challenging child/teen behaviours including but not limited to those children who have been violent in the household and with challenges of parenting a child who is dealing with an eating disorder.
What to expect in your first few sessions
Regular Sessions are 50 minutes in length. However our first meeting I prefer to offer a 30 minute video call ‘introduction’ option where we will spend the time getting to know each other to ensure you feel confident in our connection and comfortable to work with me. Here I will also outline the boundaries of the work in line with the BACP Ethical Framework and to ensure we are able to work safely together. Once you are comfortable to proceed with your first full session, you will be sent a New Client Registration Pack to include our Working Agreement. In our second session we will complete a full assessment together to help identify any immediate issues where you might require additional support and to discuss areas you would like to form the focus of our work together.
